Drusy, Gem Silica (aka: Drusy, Chrysocolla)

  • Geological - Drusy is a general term for miniature stone crystals. Miniature quartz crystals that form in rock cavities, within or on the surface of Gem Silica - Chrysocolla. When ground water carrying dissolved silica is forced into a porous area of the rock, rapid cooling often occurs, causing the formation of drusy crystals. Hardness 4-7.
  • Origin - USA, Mexico, Chile, Zaire, Britain.
  • Mystic Lore - Peace. Aids in meditation and communication. Aids respiratory system. Asthma, bronchitis, laryngitis.
