- Geological - Amber is translucent fossilized tree resin (from conifers), a natural hydrocarbon that comes in many colors. Butterscotch 60 million years old, Cherry and Antique 40 million years old, Cognac 30 million years old, Green and Lemon 15 million years old. Hardness 2-2.5.
- Origin - Baltic Sea and Baltic area - Poland, Russia.
